About

Pouches of Positivity is the brain child of Stephanie and James Tarbay.  It is easy to know once you meet us, that we are passionate people about what we believe in and positive thinking is one of those things. James has Cystic Fibrosis which means Stephanie is also passionate about that, especially spreading awareness of the disease.  A lot of people do not know what Cystic Fibrosis is or how it affects people.  Pouches of Positivity is a few months in the making as the idea came to Stephanie one morning as we left mass at church. Stephanie thought to herself, “there are so many projects out there for children, why can’t there be more for adults?” Fast forward to June 2018 when Stephanie met with officials at UPMC Shadyside to make this dream a reality. Since starting, we have moved to UPMC Presbyterian because of the move of CF patients to that hospital as well.

Since 2018, a lot has changed, including Stephanie’s last name!  In November 2019, we are became a non-profit charity!  For the past three years we have been providing care packages to adults in the hospital and we celebrated over 100 Pouches delivered this past year.  Thank you all so much for your support in this project!

We are currently accepting monetary and item donations and we are always willing to hear your feedback.  We cannot wait to see where this project goes and how it grows.
